We show location, the type of work and what the lot required, not prices. A price without the lot, the plan set and the finish level is not a number a homeowner can use, and California law caps what can be promised in advertising. What you can check is the license, the reviews and the work itself.

A ground-up custom home on a hillside lot above Nichols Canyon. The slope set the design: an open living level that steps down to a pool terrace, with the retaining walls, drainage and hillside review handled before the first drawing was final. Concrete, glass and wood on the exterior; a cantilevered upper level over the pool. Designed, engineered, permitted and built by Axe Construction under one contract, with one project manager from lot review to certificate of occupancy.

New construction in the Hollywood Hills with a covered outdoor living room that opens to the pool and the canyon. A hillside lot with the usual Los Angeles layers: soils and geology reports, the Baseline Hillside Ordinance, and a plan set priced as it was drawn so the budget and the design moved together. Wood ceilings carry from inside to the covered terrace; the pool deck is the lot's edge. Designed, engineered, permitted and built under one contract.

A two-story new construction home built for a family, with a flat rear yard planned for use rather than for photographs: a lawn, a patio off the kitchen, and a second-floor balcony. Foundation through finishes with one project manager, City of Los Angeles inspections at each milestone, and the certificate of occupancy, lien releases and warranties handed over in one package at the end.

A detached backyard ADU with its own entrance and a private front garden behind a horizontal wood fence, built from the ground up on a standard Los Angeles lot. Setbacks, utility capacity and the state ADU rules were confirmed at the complimentary site visit; plans were drawn for the lot, filed with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, and built to final inspection. One of dozens of ADUs Axe Construction has built across Los Angeles County.
Accessory dwelling unit · Garage conversion
A detached garage converted into a one-bedroom ADU with its own entrance and a patio for outdoor dining. The slab was checked and the plumbing run beneath it, the garage door framed into a wall with a window and a walk-in door, and insulation, electrical and a mini-split added before the unit was permitted as legal living space. Same street as our detached ADU, which is why we can show both paths side by side at a site visit.

Axe Construction has completed new construction projects in Pasadena and in Orange County, taking plans through the Pasadena Permit Center and Orange County city building departments first-hand. Each jurisdiction has its own rules, from Pasadena's landmark districts to the Coastal Zone in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, and the process does not change: lot review, design priced as it develops, permits handled, one project manager.
